Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are
SelfSync is provided by AI Sync System Inc. (British Columbia company no. BC1539132, Canada) ("we", "us"). When you use SelfSync, you are entering into an agreement with AI Sync System Inc. Contact: founder@ai-sync.app.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or continuing to use SelfSync, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please stop using the service. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent's or guardian's permission. If you use SelfSync for an organization you confirm you can bind it.
3. The service
SelfSync is a daily manifestation and positivity app with affirmations, breathing, gratitude, dream and wins journals, optional cloud backup, and an AI helper ("Ask SelfSync"). Premium adds more AI questions, personal AI reminders and extra share card styles, within the limits shown on the Premium page.
4. Your account
Keep your login details private and accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, fraud, spam or harassment.
- No infringing anyone's intellectual property.
- No malware, probing, scraping, overloading or interfering with security or technical limits.
- No reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the service.
- With the AI helper: no illegal, hateful, sexual-exploitation or harmful content, no impersonation or deepfakes, and no attempts to bypass safety rules ("jailbreaking").
6. AI features
AI answers and reminders are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are for general encouragement only and are not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for what you type, for having the right to share it, and for how you use the answers. We may filter or refuse outputs, remove content and restrict or suspend accounts that misuse the AI. Rights-holders can report content to founder@ai-sync.app; repeated infringement leads to account termination.
7. Your content and our property
Your journal entries belong to you. You let us store and process them only to provide the service (for example, backup if you sign in). We own SelfSync, its software, design, text and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SelfSync under your plan.
8. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, renewals, taxes, cancellations and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Premium renews automatically each month or year until cancelled; if you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund Policy.
9. Availability
We work to keep SelfSync running well, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using SelfSync and delete your account anytime. When access ends, backed-up data is deleted within a reasonable time; entries saved on your own device stay there.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SelfSync is provided "as is" without implied warranties such as merchantability or fitness for a purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, data or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims against us that come from your content, unlawful use or breach of these terms.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless your local consumer law says otherwise. You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may transfer these terms as part of a merger or sale. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will show the new date above.
